About Ron Paul
Congressman Ron Paul is the U.S.'s leading advocate for freedom. A physician by profession, he is currently serving his 10th term in Congress as Representative of Texas' 14th district. Throughout his political career, he has consistently supported limited government, low taxes, free markets, and a rejection of current monetary policies as dictated by the privately owned institution known as the Federal Reserve.
"A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank." - R. Paul
"By the way, when I say cut taxes, I don't mean fiddle with the code. I mean abolish the income tax and the IRS, and replace them with nothing." - R. Paul
"True patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security." - R. Paul
"Bureaucratic management can never compete with the free market in solving problems. Central economic planning doesn’t work. Just look at the failed systems of the 20th century. Welfarism is an example of central economic planning. Paper money, money created out of thin air to accommodate welfarism and government deficits, is not only silly, it’s unconstitutional. No matter how hard the big spenders try to convince us otherwise, deficits do matter. But lowering the deficit through higher taxes won’t solve anything." - R. Paul
Dr. Ron Paul's consistent voting record is a testament to his ideals and strength of character. He has never voted for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.
